This week I finished coding my task and will run it on participants next week. Basically, the task consists of 18 questions, where each question has three words and the participant is tasked with finding a fourth word that is associated with the other words. The time limit per question is 30 seconds. Throughout the task, I will be using an eye tracking device. With that device, I can make inferences into one's thought process and find connections between one's eye movement, time, and the accurateness of the answer.
On Wednesday, the PI took the lab out to his country club where we played tennis and soccer, went swimming, and watched the world cup together. It was really fun and I honestly wish this event occurred earlier as I bonded with a lot of the other undergraduate students - I only have one more week at the lab.
Additionally, I went to Starbucks with other EXP students at Upenn. I have also been going to Chipotle so much lately that some of the people working there have started to recognize me.
